Our Mission
MEC is a boutique cleaning company built on one idea: pay great cleaners well, treat them like partners, and bring real care to the homes we serve across North Baltimore.
We're new, we're growing, and we're hiring carefully. If you've got the eye for detail, the work ethic, and the integrity to represent us in someone's home — we want to meet you.
It takes about 30 seconds to start. We read every application personally — no bots, no auto-rejects.

Drop your details below and we'll take you straight to the full application. Takes about 30 seconds.
Everything you need to know before you apply.
Five steps: 1) Apply online. 2) A short Google Meet interview with Dera and/or Ifeanyi. 3) Job offer if it's a fit. 4) Background screening. 5) Welcome aboard. The whole process usually wraps within a couple of weeks.
You're paid weekly, every Friday, by direct deposit. As an independent contractor, you earn 60% of every job you complete — above the typical Maryland market rate.
Simple: you keep 60% of the price of each job. So a $350 clean pays you $210. No hourly cap and no games — the more quality jobs you take on, the more you earn.
We're a new and growing company, so volume is building steadily. We can't promise a fixed number yet — but the more availability and reliability you bring, the more we can send your way as we grow. Early team members are first in line for new work.
We scope every job carefully before you arrive, so big surprises are rare. If a home turns out genuinely bigger or dirtier than what was booked, that's on us — just reach out and we'll make it right with the client so you're paid fairly for the extra work. The only exception is time spent redoing work that wasn't done right the first time. Bring your best and you're always covered.
As an independent contractor, you'll need your own general liability policy. Providers like Hiscox, Next Insurance, or Thimble offer small-business coverage that typically runs around $40–60/month. We'll walk you through it during onboarding.
